Potentially rocked the socks off my reading/writing test today. As a wise man back at UMass would say: right through the pants. I finished it in half an hour. There were only three kanji on the kanji section that I didn't remember, and the grammar section I'm pretty sure I did okay. m.o.v.e's new CD (their "10th Anniversary Mega Best" album; it's a three disc compilation) came out yesterday, and since I'm in Japan, I went to the bus station right after classes, ran to Tsutaya, and bugged the guy at the cash register until he went and found it for me. >D MOVE CD GET! So far I've only been able to listen to disc 1, because I spent most of last night studying for that test today, but tonight I should be able to listen to the second disc and watch the DVD. Disc 1 is a combination of a bunch of their singles, plus the two new ones, a brand new song "Key Ring" (that Yuri co-wrote! whoa!) and the elusive "Sugar Sugar Rain" which had previously only been released as a music video. Lyric romanization, here I come. Disc 2 is a huge set of remixes of a bunch of m.o.v.e's songs, off of every album. The remixes are all brand new, and I can't wait to listen to them. When I put the CD in last night to put it all on my Zen, I heard the beginning of the "Platinum" remix and holy crap, it sounds fabulous. "White noise / erotical voice / yes, everything is my toys" *giggles insanely* Disc 3 is a DVD, and apparently has a non-stop mix of all m.o.v.e's PVs (music videos) to date. Whether or not there's anything extra thrown in, I do not know, but it should be cool nonetheless. This weekend, I'm going to see about buying the accompanying Giga Best DVD, which is supposed to be different from the Mega Best one (MB was limited edition, hence my rush to get a hold of it :P). Also still really want Nightwish's "Dark Passion Play"... Also planning to go to Vivre this weekend and snag an ice blue Nintendo DS + sonomama (kanji dictionary program), just because I can. >P Then I need to start... importing American games? XDDD There's a foreign concept (har har). Mom's care package needs to get here soon, cuz I'm out of Kleenex, and there's no better brand of tissues on Earth than Kleenex. For serious. Half an hour until my speaking class, then lunch with Virginia and Jackie, then I'm done for the day. Although I need to remember to buy butter from the 7-11 (yes, you read that right) before I hop on the bus... I also need to find someone in the CIE office after noon today to tell me what the hell I have to do to obtain this ellusive student bus pass. It almost doesn't seem worth all the trouble. x . x Got homework, and then I have to study for a vocab quiz tomorrow, and then I have YET ANOTHER (this is the third) three-day weekend. JAPANESE HOLIDAYS, I SALUTE YOU! :O Time to go putz around the interbutt until I have to get up and leave. :D
