Well, this week is off to a grand start. [/sarcasm] Last night I was going to try to write fanfiction, since it was either that or read some book for history (more on that later), but I ended up sitting around until 4 in the morning just staring hopelessly at my notebook and cursing my lack of creative genius (if you can even call it that). Then after I finally fell asleep around 5, I woke up at 8:30 with a migraine, popped two Advil, rolled over and went back to bed. Half an hour later, my alarm went off. Smacked snooze a total of five times and finally HAD to get up or I would've been late to class. At least the weather's fantastic - the trees are actually green today! YAY. Only downside to that being that now the bugs are coming back... *hides in corner* So. Professor Ogliviewhosiewhatsit I-can't-spell-your-goddamn-name. We need to talk. And by "we need to talk" I mean "I need to bitch about you in my journal." I signed up for "History 100: Western Thought to 1600". I thought to myself, "Finally, I can take a European history class in which I actually learn something about European history! WHAT A NOVEL CONCEPT!" The course description for your class states the following: Survey of the history and culture of Western Civilization through the age of the Reformation. Topics: Greece and Rome; rise of Christianity; "decline and fall" of the Roman Empire; formation of the Medieval World; Renaissance and Reformation. (Gen.Ed. HS) Now, other than that reference to the "rise of Christianity", nowhere in that course description does it say, "All we talk about in this class is religion." I am having MAJOR deja-vu; have I written this rant before? *checks archive* Nope, haven't. Just been thinking it a lot and saying it aloud to people, then. Oh well. Case in point: IF I WANTED TO TAKE "THE HISTORY OF EUROPEAN RELIGION", I WOULD'VE SIGNED UP FOR A HISTORY OF EUROPEAN RELIGION CLASS. *breathes* Anthropology, you're just boring and if you were a physical entity I would kick you in the shin. kbye. I'm doing laundry right now because I'm a hopeless slob and wait until I have NO clothes left before I go down to run a load. The other thing being that Monday afternoon NOBODY is using the washing machines. Prime-time, bitches. I should potentially be reading yet another relgious tome for my history class but I'd rather die in a fire, so... nope, not occurring right now. Actually, screw the fire, I'd just like to take a nap - last night was awful. To all you J/K Kind of. Seriously, it takes me SO LONG to fall asleep. It's horrible. I lay down, and I toss, and I turn, and I worry about all the things I have to do the next day, and how many hours are left until I have to do them, and this that and the other thing, and meanwhile the rest of the world is already off to sleep. It's goddamn irritating. But I suppose I make up for it by being able to drag my lame ass around on 4 hours of sleep while everyone else is asleep at their desks. I don't know. I don't think it's much of a trade-off, myself, but whatever. I mean, hello, I may be ABLE to stay awake, but it's partially because I physically can't fall asleep sitting up. Functioning on 4 hours of sleep is in no way a fun or intelligent way to go about your life. It's really rather miserable. Especially for your eyes. Today is my mother's birthday. I figure I'll wait and call her when she gets home from work, because it's payroll day and that means it's highly unlikely that I'll make it through the whole "Happy Birthday" song before she has to put me on hold. XD; Uuuuum yeah. That's about it. Laundry needs to go in the dryer, and then I am going to take a fucking nap because my eyes hurt and I can. OW, MY LIFE.
