I just looked over the syllabus for my Japanese reading/writing class for the remainder of the semester and discovered that I have a test on every other Thursday, and the Thursdays in between are all vocab quizzes. Why? Why do they pull this kind of crap? I want to go sightseeing, but fear of getting lost keeps me from going. I'm wasting my time in Japan sitting in my room on the computer, as usual. Idiot girl. I bought two new CDs yesterday. Both solo projects by two of Janne Da Arc's former members. One is called "LIFE -the first movement-" by you, and the other is "SOLID BEAT" by ka-yu (now going by his real name, Kazuyuki Matsumoto). I love them both. I was going to buy yasu's solo singles for his new alias, Acid Black Cherry, but I think I'm going to wait until he puts out a full album like the other two, just because of the expense. I really want the new Nightwish album. "Amaranth" and "Bye Bye Beautiful" are both really awesome songs. I don't get all the hate against the new singer. People seem to hate her just because she's not Tarja. I think they're both good singers. I also think that the Nightwish guys knew what sound they wanted and that's why they picked her. It's their choice, and I support it. Favorite songs on you's album are "various cards" and "awakening". Can't give lyric samples, because you doesn't sing. He plays guitar, and so the whole CD is guitar instrumental pieces. Favorite song on ka-yu's album is "BREAK OUT". His songs are all in English. He was Janne's bass guitarist, but he's decided to sing anyway. And he's pretty damn good at it. :) Lyrics from "BREAK OUT": I dream about the heaven Faster than the speed of light No more darkness, no more pain
